Provide support to National Marketing Manager in the creation, development and execution of marketing plans & activities

DESIRED EDUCATION
& EXPERIENCE
 
*         Post secondary education in Marketing or Business related field or equivalent experience
*         Familiarity with Graphics Arts and Wide Format Manufacturers and Products an asset
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
& RESPONSIBILITIES
 
 
 
 
 
*         Responsible for marketing events coordination. Activities include: planning, budget preparation, promotion, supplier liaison, venue & exhibit logistics, on-site event management and post event follow-up, leads tracking and evaluation.
*         Responsible for the development, production & distribution of market segment specific communications. This includes content development and production coordination of newsletters, promotional literature, price lists, advertisements, media releases, email e-blasts and website promotional content.
*         Support annual sales and marketing planning activity. This involves the collection, compilation and tracking of monthly budgets and activities. Responsible for preparing requests and claims for supplier participation and financial marketing support for promotional activities.
*         Provide product knowledge to support supplier/product conversions. Develop reports to aid in the process as it relates products, inventory and customers impacted by the change. Also, compare attributes and specifications between product offerings of similar suppliers to assist in the analysis required for vendor and product selection. 
*         Responsible for managing the approval process for new vendors and ongoing vendor file management.
*         Responsible for the maintenance of the merchandise code product category classification system used to group and sort similar product groups for reporting and publishing of product information
*         Responsible for preparing data to evaluate costing and margins and to provide input on resale pricing strategies.
*         Produce Monthly Sales and Cost of goods sold reports and other adhoc reports as required
*         Review communications, announcements and changes from suppliers and determine impact to various Unisource departments and operations. Advisebranches and centralized functional departments of changes that impact their area of responsibility.
*         Assist National Marketing Manager on various projects
 

 
SKILL & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
 
 
 
 
 
 
*         PC skills in a Microsoft Windows environment with an emphasis on Word, Excel and Access at an intermediate/advanced level.
*         Exceptional organizational skills – able to identify priorities, organize workflow and keep accurate records
*         Superior communication skills to deal effectively in person, on the telephone and by email with both internal and external customers.
*         Ability to bring issues to a resolution and coordinate activities across many departments.
*         Motivated, self reliant and independent.
