Rewinder/Packer Operator

Description:

POSITION TITLE		REWINDER/PACKER OPERATOR (2 Contract positions) Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
DEPARTMENT / LOCATION		Converting Department 560 Hensall Circle Mississauga, ON L5A 1Y1
POSITION PURPOSE		· A self motivated team player who can be an active part of our Converting department in the areas of rewinding and packaging.
REPORTS TO		Distribution and Converting Manager
DIRECT REPORTS		None
DESIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE		· Secondary School Graduate or related experience · Previous converting experience preferred
SKILL & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS		· Previous experience on converting equipment i.e.: rewinder / slitter; · Use of various measurement tools i.e.: tape measure, micrometer; · Computer literate and knowledge of WMS systems an asset.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES		· Rewind paper and other material to specifications; · Package and label finished products; · Be familiar with ISO Policies and Procedures; · Related converting duties.
POSITION COMPETENCIES	· Good interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work as a team member; · Be able to work in a fast paced environment; · Strong attention to detail; · Dependable and reliable; · Good decision making skills and ability to work independently.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, however are subject to change with notice. It is essential the incumbent in this position be flexible regarding their work hours and willing to work extended hours if necessary.
