POSITION TITLE		REWINDER/PACKER OPERATOR (2 Contract positions) Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
DEPARTMENT / LOCATION		Converting Department 560 Hensall Circle Mississauga, ON L5A 1Y1
POSITION PURPOSE		· A self motivated team player who can be an active part of our Converting department in the areas of rewinding and packaging.
REPORTS TO		Distribution and Converting Manager
DIRECT REPORTS		None
DESIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE		· Secondary School Graduate or related experience · Previous converting experience preferred
SKILL & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS		· Previous experience on converting equipment i.e.: rewinder / slitter; · Use of various measurement tools i.e.: tape measure, micrometer; · Computer literate and knowledge of WMS systems an asset.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES		· Rewind paper and other material to specifications; · Package and label finished products; · Be familiar with ISO Policies and Procedures; · Related converting duties.
POSITION COMPETENCIES	· Good interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work as a team member; · Be able to work in a fast paced environment; · Strong attention to detail; · Dependable and reliable; · Good decision making skills and ability to work independently.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, however are subject to change with notice. It is essential the incumbent in this position be flexible regarding their work hours and willing to work extended hours if necessary.

POSITION PURPOSE

Liaise and support the needs and requirements of the Grocery Segment to achieve our sales objectives.

& EXPERIENCE

· Marketing/ Business Administration diploma or equivalent experience.

· Demonstrated knowledge of our industry, product lines and suppliers.

· Proven communication, organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills.

· An ability to effectively manage and prioritize many tasks to meet deadlines.

· Proven track record demonstrating a high level of performance as it pertains to customer service and merchandising.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow procedures and work instructions.

· Ability to perform well as a team player.

· Knowledge of how to apply a problem solving process.

· Understanding of ISO9002 and related Quality systems.

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

· Ability to work independently, is a self starter, takes ownership, is accountable for own work and results, is an innovative thinker.

· Bilingualism (English/French) would be considered an asset.

· Purchasing experience would be an asset.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

& RESPONSIBILITIES

· Work with the National Grocers and Vendors to prepare electronic PAF forms in support of program changes or new additions/deletions.

· Create new product codes using the Mainframe system to allow for new program implementations, allow pricing files to be maintained and products to be ordered

· Respond to product inquiries from National Grocery Head Office.

· Coordinates the opening of all new National Grocery product listings, product de-listing, and product/vendor changes.

· Responsible for the support of customer promotional or seasonal, product launches, ensuring that the correct product substitution codes are applied across all Regions for start up and end of the cycle, to prevent service failures or inventory exposure.

· Distributes and ensures closure on National Grocers Databank Product Inquiry Form and Unisource/National Grocery products.

· Works within the Work Instructions for National Grocers Stock Management.

· Coordinate and Communicate Customer Specific Slow moving Inventory Program and changes in the customer programs (Action Reports).

· Review Vendor issues, assist in resolution, initials Fill Rate Report and communicates to National Grocers.

· Co-ordinates emergency shipments with vendor, receiving and shipping departments.

· Replenish purchasing of specific vendors and all related functions.

DESIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE	· High school graduate and/or related experience; · Class “AZ” License with minimum two years of tractor-trailer driving experience is required; · An abstract driving record must be provided to demonstrate a safe driving record. · Previous experience in a Cold chain environment, would be considered an asset.
SKILL & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS	· TDG/WHMIS knowledge is required; · Ability to use power loading equipment; · Familiar with ISO Policies and Procedures would be considered an asset; · Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member; · Good communication skills required (able to read, write and speak English); · Be able to work in a fast paced environment; · Strong attention to detail; · Dependable and reliable; · Good decision making skills and ability to work independently; · Able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES	· Driving delivery equipment within GTA (Greater Toronto Area) and surrounding areas; · Loading and unloading stock in a secure manner for safe, damage-free transportation; · Verifying all orders at time of delivery and delivering orders to meet customer specifications; · Ensuring equipment and truck are in good working condition through adherence to delivery maintenance procedures; · Familiarity with the completion of delivery registers and paperwork to ensure stock is accounted for; · Shunting trucks in the parking lot in a safe manner, as required; · Manually pick and pack a variety of product to fill customer orders, as required; · Must be flexible regarding work hours and able to work rotating days/shifts; · Able to work extended hours, which may be required from time to time; · Able to work in a temperature controlled environment.
